Overview & Responsibilities
Elliott Company’s Houston, TX, office seeks an Engineer III/Field Controls Engineer to apply specialized technical knowledge and broad experience in the testing, installation, and commissioning of engineered control systems for compressors and steam turbines at user sites worldwide. When not traveling in support of new installations, the role involves providing technical support to control system users and supporting staff to meet delivery schedules.
Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, plus three years of post-baccalaureate experience in a related position. Experience must include installation, commissioning, troubleshooting, and supporting complex engineered control systems; project management; programming and troubleshooting PLC controllers; HMI software; turbine governor and overspeed controllers; Bently Nevada systems; electrical control circuits; test procedures; and safety standards compliance.
The role requires willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 50%. Experience can be concurrent.
