Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking an experienced SDET/Backend QA expert to architect scalable test automation for cloud-based SaaS products. You will drive frameworks, pipelines, and performance testing across distributed systems and endpoint integrations.

You will mentor engineers, review designs for testability and security, and ensure robust regression coverage in production-like environments with real cloud deployments.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience as an SDET or Backend Developer.
• 3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for Cloud SaaS products.
• Strong CS fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Architect and deliver scalable test automation solutions for enterprise-scale workloads.
• Design and implement scalable test automation frameworks for complex distributed systems involving cloud services and endpoint agent software.
• Develop comprehensive test strategies for security-critical features, focusing on reliability, accuracy, and performance at scale.

Requirements

• 6+ years of combined experience as an SDET or Backend Developer
• 3+ years building testing frameworks and tooling for Cloud SaaS products
• Strong computer science fundamentals in algorithms, data structures, and distributed systems
• Expertise in at least one of Go, Python, Java, C++, or JavaScript/TypeScript
• Deep understanding of cloud architectures and microservices
• Experience with REST, gRPC, Protocol Buffers, or similar web-service technologies
• Experience with PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Redis, or similar databases
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration platforms
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and testing in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Strong debugging skills for complex distributed systems
• Experience with cloud performance testing and monitoring tools such as JMeter, Gatling, New Relic, Datadog, or Prometheus/Grafana
• Proven experience utilizing AI technologies to enhance decision-making, streamline workflows and processes, improve efficiency, and drive business outcomes
• Periodically undergo and pass additional background and fingerprint checks consistent with government customer requirements
• Bonus qualifications include security-product, endpoint-agent, EDR, real-time data processing, open-source security, MITRE ATT&CK, chaos engineering, resilience testing, threat detection, incident response, or security operations experience
