Job Summary
Oneok is seeking a mid‑level engineer to join our Capital Projects team. The position will focus on crude gathering within the Permian Basin asset by supporting the crude oil well connect program and system expansion projects. It offers a hybrid schedule and requires an in‑office presence three days per week.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Direct and/or perform engineering or project‑management activities related to design, procurement, construction, or optimization of company assets including, but not limited to, transmission and/or gathering systems, measurement and regulation facilities, compressor and pump stations, dehydration plants, hydrocarbon storage facilities, and construction plans.
- Provide technical and/or engineering assistance on matters including, but not limited to: equipment/system design, pipeline sizing and evaluation, pipeline control, pipeline facility design, operation, and maintenance.
- Perform project‑management activities such as bid proposals and contracts, AFE preparation, cost management, and management of change (MOC).
- Create and support construction plans, develop and maintain schedules/timelines, prepare project progress and other reports, and manage change orders.
- Identify equipment efficiencies, perform hydraulic calculations, determine valve and pipeline sizing, and conduct liquid flow analysis.
- Research, analyze, and prepare information including engineering studies, governmental rules, regulations, codes, and standards, pipeline and/or measurement system analyses, and cost estimates.
- Evaluate proposed projects through load studies, recommendation of improvements for capacity, operating costs, and measurement accuracy, and economic analysis of potential new projects.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Mechanical, or Petroleum Engineering.
Experience
- Experience and training related to transmission/gathering pipeline operations, liquids measurement and regulation activities, and processing and/or storage operations.
- Experience with company/governmental operating and safety procedures, pipeline stress/strain analyses, engineering design, and knowledge of criteria for pipeline systems.
- Four or more years of experience in engineering, operations, and/or project management.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Project, Access, and Word; experience in researching and preparing project materials, contracts, budgets, and engineering studies.
- Ability to research, evaluate, and prioritize operational problems and coordinate appropriate action.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of pipeline or hydrocarbon processing and related facilities, design, construction, operation, and maintenance.
- Knowledge of material failure and structural analysis, industry standards, and governmental regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret governmental regulations, blueprints, contracts, manuals, specifications, and load studies.
- Ability to analyze and resolve engineering design and calculation issues with supervisor assistance.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple assignments with competing deadlines.
- Ability to recommend and implement new initiatives and complete projects.
- Ability to apply math, algebraic formulas, and statistical methods.
- Ability to interact, negotiate, and communicate effectively.
- Ability to operate office tools and equipment and articulate technical information clearly.

None required.
Physical Demands and Requirements
Sedentary work is predominant, with occasional walking, standing, and lifting up to 10 pounds. Tasks may involve operating office equipment, frequent computer use, and communication by voice and writing. Physical and environmental requirements include: light‑oriented and climate‑controlled workspace, occasional use of a company vehicle, and the need for frequent computer interaction.

Salary Range
Expected Salary Range: $110,000.00 – $166,000.00
