Job summary

Microchip Technology is seeking a motivated Test Engineer to join the Memory Product Department (MPD). You will support development, characterization, and production testing of memory products, collaborating with design, product, and manufacturing teams to ensure high quality, yield, and reliability.

The ideal candidate has 2.5–5 years in semiconductor test engineering, strong memory architecture knowledge, and hands-on experience with ATE platforms like Teradyne.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • 2.5 - 5 years of experience in semiconductor test engineering, preferably in memory products.
  • Solid understanding of memory architecture and operation.
  • Hands-on experience with ATE platforms (e.g., Teradyne, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of DFT concepts, including BIST, redundancy, and repair analysis.
  • Capable of operating bench equipment, oscilloscope, logic analyzer, etc.
  • Flexibility to collaborate with global teams and accommodate lab usage schedules.
  • Programming skills (C/C++), Python, C++ class architecture knowledge.

Pay Range

We offer a total compensation package that ranks among the best in the industry. It consists of competitive base pay, restricted stock units, and quarterly bonus payments. In addition to these components, our package includes health benefits that begin day one, retirement savings plans, and an industry leading ESPP program with a 2‑year look back feature.

The annual base salary range for this position, which could be performed in the US, is $70,304 - $143,000.* Range is dependent on numerous factors including job location, skills and experience.
