Primary Purpose of this Job

This Process Engineering position is responsible for providing melt process technical support to Monroe, NC manufacturing facilities.

Essential Functions (other duties may be assigned)

Essential job functions may include, but are not limited to, the following:

  1. Internal and external technical lead for remelting operations.
  2. Develop and maintain process instructions in support of process compliance.
  3. Provide quote-to-shipment technical product lifecycle support for cast ingot products. Develop flow paths, recipes, review specifications, and manage product soft-side changes.
  4. Provide technical support in resolving process-related deviations and customer complaints.
  5. Track critical-to-quality (CTQ) metrics and implement statistical process control (SPC) programs.
  6. Collaborate with Technology, Quality, and Operations to develop and lead improvements to manufacturing processes and standards that enhance safety, product quality, higher productivity, and reduced cost.
  7. Support Product Engineering and R&D in the development, evaluation, and standardization of new products and processes.
  8. Provide technical support during customer audits and inquiries.
