About the role:

As an Engineer II – Reactor Technologies & Methods, you will shape Nuclear Reactor Technology and Methods Applications and Products. You will report to the Nuclear Fuel Engineering Manager of Reactor Technology and Methods. The position is located at our Global Headquarters in Cranberry Township, Pennsylvania. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining on-site and remote days within the same week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Engage with Fuel Engineering Methods experts and end-users to identify areas for methods and application improvement.
2. Support the implementation of new modeling tools and techniques for nuclear fuel modeling and analysis.
3. Utilize advanced modeling and simulation to optimize product and process design, safety analysis, and licensing activities.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• PhD in Engineering or a related discipline (e.g., Materials, Nuclear, Mathematics) or a recognized equivalent (Masters + relevant experience).
• 2+ years of experience in Nuclear Engineering/Physics, Mechanical/Materials Engineering, or Nuclear fuel thermal hydraulic analysis.
• Experience with High Performance Computing environments, especially Linux-based systems.
• Understanding of Verification, Validation, and Uncertainty Quantification methods.
• Proficiency with programming languages such as C/C++, Fortran 95/2003, Java, Python, or C#/.NET.
