Job summary

Pape-Dawson Engineers is seeking an EIT II in San Antonio, TX to contribute to civil site development projects. You will work under P.E. guidance on grading, drainage, paving, and utilities, preparing calculations and reports for zoning and permitting.

Ideal candidates hold an ABET‑accredited civil engineering degree with an EIT certification and at least 1 year of relevant experience, demonstrating strong analysis, communication, and teamwork skills in a deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification is required.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant engineering experience.
• Working knowledge of engineering design principles, practices, and applicable codes and standards.
• Proficiency with common engineering software, drafting/design tools, and standard office applications.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating within a team.

Responsibilities

• Support design and preparation of civil site development plans for residential projects (grading, drainage, paving, utilities).
• Perform site layout, earthwork calculations, and stormwater analyses.
• Assist with reports, exhibits, and documentation for zoning, entitlement, and permitting approvals.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance.
