Job summary

Pape-Dawson is seeking an Engineer II - Land Development (EIT) in San Antonio, TX. The role supports design and delivery of civil site development projects, including grading, drainage, paving, and utilities, under supervision of a licensed engineer.

The ideal candidate has an ABET-accredited degree, an EIT certification, and at least 1 year of relevant experience. You will collaborate across a multidisciplinary team and contribute to permitting and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field from an ABET-accredited program.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT/EI) certification.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and preparation of civil site development plans for residential projects including grading, drainage, paving, and utility systems.
• Perform site layout, earthwork calculations, and stormwater management analyses.
• Assist with preparation of reports, exhibits, and technical documentation for zoning, entitlement, and permitting approvals.
• Coordinate with regulatory agencies to support permitting and compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical documentation, and design deliverables under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Utilize engineering software, drafting tools, and standard office applications to support assigned tasks.
• Coordinate with project managers, senior engineers, and multidisciplinary teams to support project delivery.
• Communicate technical information clearly and effectively through written documents, drawings, and verbal coordination.
