Job summary

Austin Bridge & Road seeks an Engineer II to support our Heavy Civil project team in Greenville, TX. This on-site, full-time role focuses on procurement, cost estimation, schedule updates, submittal management, and safety compliance to ensure timely delivery of complex bridge and road projects.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering background with 2–7 years of heavy civil construction experience and strong communication skills to coordinate with subcontractors and owners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field preferred.
• 2–7 years of experience in large-scale heavy civil projects.
• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Proficient in project management software and tools.

Responsibilities

• Procure materials and ensure timely delivery.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates for proposed changes.
• Update contract plans and master schedules.
• Oversee and manage submittals.
• Track materials, coordinate projects, and enforce safety standards.
• Analyze, review, and update job cost information.
• Process change orders per project owner requirements.
• Respond to RFIs from owners and subcontractors.
• Compile and deliver close-out documents, including drawings, warranties, and service manuals.
