The Facilities Engineer II is responsible for supporting the general operation of Badger Meter’s global sites, in a safety first culture, as it relates to buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and manufacturing equipment. The scope of work is varied and may include evaluating facility and equipment issues, maintaining facility and equipment drawings, establishing policies and procedures related to job duties and contributing to the design and optimization of Badger's facilies and equipment. This position will play a key role in Badger Meter’s continuous improvement and sustainability initiatives and will split time working in the office and on the manufacturing floor. This position requires working with multiple functional groups and with multiple organizational levels.
Bachelor's Degree in Facilities engineering, manufacturing engineering, industrial engineering, electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related field required 3+ years of experience in a similar role desired
Work is performed in a manufacturing/office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment Must be able to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time Work is performed indoors/outdoors; may be exposed to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions Must be able to wear personal protective gear most of the day. Must be able to ascend and descend ladders. Depending on the assigned department, must complete an audiogram test
