Job summary

ZF Group in Gray Court, SC is seeking a Change Control Engineer to lead the engineering change process from initiation to closure. You will collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to validate changes and maintain accurate records.

The role requires 3–4 years of experience, strong problem solving and communication skills, and proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Power BI. A BS in a related field is mandatory, and you will contribute to continuous improvement and compliance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (mechanical/industrial engineering or business)
  • 3-4 years of engineering or production improvement experience in manufacturing
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills with good verbal and written communication
  • Superior interpersonal, communications and listening skills
  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, Power BI (nice to have)

Responsibilities

  • Manage and validate Engineering Changes (ECRs/ECOs), deviations, and change control docs.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional change implementation across manufacturing, quality, production, and engineering.
  • Analyze technical issues affecting change implementation and provide engineering support and corrective actions.
  • Monitor and control changes from request to release, implementation and closure.
  • Develop and maintain change management databases, reports, and workflows for traceability.
  • Generate technical reports to track change status, progress, and process effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement in change management to reduce delays and improve reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with design standards, specifications, and IATF 16949 requirements.

Job description

Our team of skilled change control engineers is dedicated to ensuring seamless change management across all plant departments. We are responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and validating engineering change orders, while leading cross-functional teams to implement these changes effectively. Working closely with various plant personnel, from assembly staff to senior management, we facilitate the smooth introduction of engineering changes into production. By maintaining a detailed change information database and providing technical support, we ensure that changes are executed accurately and on time, while consistently monitoring and reporting progress throughout the process.

  • Manage and validate Engineering Changes (Engineering Change Requests / Engineering Change Orders), deviations, and change control documentation to ensure accurate and controlled implementation.

  • Perform data analysis and generate technical reports to track engineering change status, implementation progress, and process effectiveness.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the engineering change management process, reducing implementation delays and increasing process reliability.
  • Ensure compliance with R&D design standards, engineering specifications, and IATF 16949 quality requirements throughout the change control process.
Your Profile as a Change Control Engineer
  • .S. in Mechanical Engineering / Industrial Engineering / Business Administration or related field
  • 3-4 years of experience in engineering or production improvement / implementation in a manufacturing environment with strong product knowledge
  • Ability to interface with cross-functional teams and all levels of personnel/management.
  • Strong problem solving and analytical skills /Good verbal and written communication skills/ Able to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Superior interpersonal, communications and listening skills
  • Proficient with MS word, excel, power BI (nice to have)
