Job summary

val's services is seeking a skilled maintenance engineer to respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot a range of building systems. This role requires effective communication with guests and team members, careful attention to safety protocols, and proficiency with maintenance tools and software.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or GED, at least 2 years of hotel engineering experience, a valid driver’s license, and Universal CFC

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED, vocational/technical background preferred.
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience.
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal CFC Certification.
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance, energy management, and safety procedures.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to guest repair requests and perform preventive maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems.
  • Communicate effectively with guests and team members.
  • Mentor other engineers and perform Engineer on Duty responsibilities.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and uphold safety policies.

Job description

Role Overview: Responsible for responding to guest repair requests, performing preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting a variety of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building systems. Communicates effectively with guests and team members, maintains equipment, and ensures safety protocols are followed. Skilled in using hand and power tools, repairing plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, and performing light carpentry and painting tasks. Demonstrates proficiency in maintenance computer programs, mentors other engineers, and performs Engineer on Duty responsibilities. Adheres to safety and security policies, maintains a professional appearance, and delivers exceptional guest service.

Qualifications & Skills

  • High school diploma or G.E.D., vocational or technical background preferred
  • At least 2 years of hotel engineering/maintenance experience
  • Valid Driver's License and Universal CFC Certification
  • Knowledge of preventative maintenance, energy management, and safety procedures
