Job summary

MW Components, Inc. is seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to plan and coordinate high‑scope projects, driving cost savings and lean manufacturing initiatives on the production floor in Berea, Ohio.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with customers and sales preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and coordinates projects of major scope and importance.
• Provide manufacturing cost savings suggestions and implementation.
• Actively participate in the engineer to order process from an equipment capability stand-point.
• Responsible for the technical implementation of lean manufacturing within your responsible areas.
• Capital equipment justifications for performance and product improvement.
• Responsible for definition of safe manufacturing practices within your responsible areas.
• Manage tooling and tooling organization; design, document, solicit tool quotes, submit request for PO's; control incoming tooling.
• Manage TPM program.
• Collaborate with Quality on technical aspects of product quality.
• Provide on floor technical support to production operators.
• Maintains electronic and hard copy engineering documents.
• Other duties / projects as required.

Education & Experience

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Primarily sedentary work involving prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working at a computer.
• Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, mouse use, and handling documents.
• Visual acuity required to read computer screens, printed materials, and digital devices.
• Occasional standing, walking, bending, and reaching within the office environment.
• Occasional lifting or carrying of light items such as files, office supplies, or a laptop (typically up to 10-20 pounds).
• Regular communication through speaking and hearing in person, by phone, and during virtual meetings.
