Job summary

MW Components, Inc. is seeking an Engineer II to join our Anaheim, CA manufacturing team. The role links customer requirements with processing methods, developing and improving production processes and applying lean concepts to optimize efficiency.

This individual will work on manufacturing methods, line validation, PFMEA control plans, and schedule coordination to support high-quality output while reducing downtime and costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of three years of manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops and implements production methods and controls to meet quality standards cost-effectively.
• Troubleshoots manufacturing issues to minimize downtime.
• Evaluates process flow and plant layout for throughput and safety improvements.
• Develops costs for test data and recommends production processes.
• Reviews vendor proposals for equipment upgrades and monitors improvements.
• Ensures ongoing compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
• Coordinates manufacturing schedules and PFMEA control plans.
• Performs line validation and trial run management.

• Pay or shift range: $95,000 USD to $100,000 USD
  The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

SUMMARY:

The Engineer II provides the necessary link between customer requirementsand manufacturing processes.Develops and improves manufacturing methods, applies lean concepts and techniques to optimize processes.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This role does not have supervisory responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Performs a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing issues resolving production/work in process problems while optimizing efficiency and eliminating downtime.
• Evaluates process flow and plant layout recommending and implementing improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations and equipment utilization in order to improve thru-put, reduce labor/manufacturing costs and improve safety.
• Develops costs for test production data; prepares technical analysis, recommends production methods and processes required to meet design objectives.
• Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernized production/processing equipment and monitors equipment upgrades and improvements.
• Continuously monitors operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.
• Coordinates and develops manufacturing schedules for projects.
• Develops the PFMEA’s control plans and schedules.
• Performs line validation and trial run management.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

• Strong technical and analytical ability.
• Project management and organizational skills preferred.
• Manufacturing experience in lean and cell manufacturing, process improvement, and equipment development, equipment buy offs, direct equipment installations, daily support, and debug.
• Experience working with customers and sales preferred.
• Ability to work with and communicate at all levels of manufacturing environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

Required

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
• A minimum of three (3) years of experience in a manufacturing environment
