Job Summary:

Open Until Filled. Job Type: Classified. Job Classification: 5210 - Engineer I. Salary Grade: 16. The annual salary range is from $73,189 to $102,465, with a hiring range of $73,189 to $87,827. The first review of applications will be on 05/30/2025.

Requirements:

• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field from an accredited college or university.
• Preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in civil or heavy construction plans preparation, plan review, and field experience in horizontal construction.

Essential Functions:

• Design, study, and estimate costs for projects; analyze systems to optimize operations.
• Coordinate with departments and agencies; review designs and plans for conformance and practicality.
• Manage construction projects; provide engineering guidance; review plans and specifications.

Additional Information:

• Must obtain and maintain registration as a PE in Arizona within the probationary period.
• Valid AZ driver’s license required; candidate will undergo a 39-month DOT Motor Vehicle Record review.
• Pre-employment background checks are required.
