Join a leading renewable energy organization as a Transmission Line Principal Engineer where you'll manage critical transmission line projects for Wind, Solar, and Battery Energy Storage systems. This pivotal role spans from early conceptual design through construction and commissioning, making you instrumental in expanding America's clean energy infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage transmission line projects from conception through commissioning
Develop design criteria and work with project stakeholders to secure optimal routes
Source and manage engineering consulting resources through approved suppliers
Coordinate with geotechnical, survey, and construction teams to ensure successful project execution
Prepare and review technical deliverables including bid drawings and construction documentation
Represent engineering interests in cross-functional meetings and presentations
Provide value engineering solutions while maintaining design quality and integrity
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering
3 years of direct experience in high voltage transmission line projects
Strong technical knowledge of transmission design and construction
Ability to understand and interpret one-line diagrams, three-line diagrams and plan profiles
Excellent communication and project management capabilities
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel across North America as required
Qualifications
Professional Engineer (P.E.) license and/or PMP certification
Experience with PLSCADD, AutoCAD, Primavera and related industry software
Demonstrated project engineering and/or project management experience
Strong bias for action and ability to drive results
