Job summary

Cencora, a center of health and wellness initiatives, is seeking a junior software/systems engineer for its U.S. operations. This full-time role emphasizes learning standard concepts, methods, platforms, and team practices used in daily delivery.

The candidate will apply established engineering procedures, communicate progress, monitor deliverables, and escalate complex issues to senior teammates as needed. A cloud fundamentals/Agile mindset is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, systems engineering, information technology, or a related field, or equivalent experience required.
• Less than 2 years of experience in software engineering, systems engineering, or a related field required.
• Certification in cloud fundamentals, Agile, Scrum preferred.

Responsibilities

• Applies established software and systems engineering procedures, tools, and standards to complete routine development, configuration, testing, or support tasks.
• Builds foundational knowledge in a primary technical domain by learning standard concepts, methods, platforms, and team practices used in day-to-day delivery.
• Communicates task status, questions, blockers, and basic observations to team members to support timely completion of assigned work.
• Monitors assigned deliverables for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to documented instructions, coding standards, or system requirements.
• Analyzes routine issues by following defined troubleshooting steps, validating expected results, and escalating unclear or nonstandard problems to more senior team members.
• Coordinates with immediate teammates to confirm requirements, handoffs, and next steps for work within a single project or team scope.
• Improves routine task execution by identifying straightforward process or documentation gaps and sharing observations through established team channels.
