Join our technical delivery team as a Security Systems Design Engineer. You'll work on diverse projects designing physical security and IT systems that enable buildings of the future to be safe and secure. Based in Lyndhurst, New Jersey, near New York City, you'll be at the heart of innovation. Are you ready to make an impact?

What do you get to do in this role?
  • Create detailed hardware design drawing packages, using Autodesk AutoCAD and Microsoft Visio, capturing all information needed to deploy systems
  • Participate in the design coordination effort with various internal and external teams to identify and resolve any items that impact the design – functionality, aesthetics and configuration, and deployment - installation, procurement and commissioning
  • Review project plans and specifications, contracts, budgets, and proposals to understand project scope and participate in the creation and execution of a project deliverable plan
  • Analyze change of scope documents and put together change order cost estimates
  • Partner with project managers throughout the project lifecycle to deliver excellence in project execution
  • Perform site surveys and walkthroughs at new construction sites documenting progress, identifying discrepancies and coordination items, and collaborating with other trades and subcontractors to keep the installation and commissioning on track
  • Team up with the field engineer s to drive project s to successful completion by in the lead technical expert role, assisting with project coordination, material procurement, and on-site commissioning
  • Team up with the IT engineers to pre-configure and deploy hardware, software and network equipment

For this U.S. based position, the expected compensation range is $70,000 - $75,000 per year, which includes base pay and short-term incentive.

The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our salary ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the salary range, individual pay is determined by several factors, including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Schneider Electric also offers a comprehensive benefits package to support our employees, inclusive of medical (with member reward points), dental, vision, and basic life insurance, Benefit Bucks (credits to apply towards your benefits) flexible work arrangements, paid family leaves, 401(k) + match, well-being and recognition (including service anniversary) programs, 12 holidays per year, 15 days of paid time off per year (pro-rated in the first year of employment based on start date), opportunity to purchase company stock (eligibility depends on start date), and military leave benefits.
