Since 1995, we’ve harnessed that power to offer proven, performance-based solutions for our utility, government, and institutional customers.

Energy Solution is currently seeking an Engineer I to support energy efficiency and technical programs by analyzing energy savings, evaluating equipment and project costs, researching technologies, and helping ensure accurate program delivery.

Working alongside experienced engineers and cross-functional teams, the Engineer I will apply established engineering principles to real-world projects, analyze technical data, prepare documentation, and help maintain accurate savings and cost information. This role offers a great opportunity to strengthen your technical expertise while gaining hands-on experience in energy efficiency and program implementation.

Bring your analytical mindset and attention to detail to a role where you can grow your engineering career and advance efficient energy solutions

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Analyzes equipment eligibility, customer eligibility, project applications, and supporting documentation against established program requirements
  • Analyzes equipment submittals, plans, technical documentation, and application information to support program implementation
  • Verifies customer-submitted data and technical inputs for completeness, accuracy, and consistency
  • Applies established engineering methodologies, assumptions, equations, and technical inputs to calculate energy, demand, and cost savings
  • Applies established savings methodologies to project and equipment data to develop accurate savings values for program implementation, client reporting, and invoicing
  • Analyzes standard- and high-efficiency equipment cost data to calculate incremental measure costs and support program requirements
  • Analyzes technical data, engineering assumptions, equipment performance, and project information to support engineering evaluations and program delivery
  • Identifies unusual results, technical discrepancies, or conditions outside established methodologies and escalates them to the Lead Engineer or other senior engineering staff for guidance
  • Researches energy efficiency technologies, industry trends, emerging solutions, equipment characteristics, and technical information to support program initiatives
  • Researches applicable codes, standards, regulations, and technical requirements and reports potential impacts on engineering calculations and program implementation
  • Applies quality checks to analytical inputs and outputs to support accurate information within program systems, client reporting, invoicing, and related deliverables
  • Identifies technical issues, discrepancies, and potential quality concerns and escalates them appropriately
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field
  • 2 years of relevant engineering, energy efficiency, utility, sustainability, technical consulting, or related professional experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and experience
  • Experience applying engineering principles and established methodologies to technical analyses or calculations
  • Experience performing or supporting energy, demand, equipment performance, cost, or similar technical calculations
  • Experience analyzing technical data and evaluating information for accuracy and completeness
  • Experience using spreadsheets, databases, engineering tools, or reporting applications to support technical work
  • Experience preparing technical calculations, documentation, reports, or presentations

The salary range for this role is $70,000 - $85,000, with a target compensation of $70,000 - $80,750 based on experience and qualifications.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes a generous retirement package. Energy Solutions provides an excellent benefits package including medical, dental and vision insurance, other pre-tax contribution plans and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP).
