Job description

Position Summary

The main role of the Analysis Engineer is to troubleshoot and conduct root‑cause analysis of production line rejects on power module, IPM, and inverter products. The engineer performs hands‑on component testing, documents findings, and communicates results to internal stakeholders and customers. The position requires use of specified work processes, specialized measurement equipment, and analysis techniques to process rejects and return items to production. The engineer also supports development of corrective actions, including improvements to production equipment, mechanical and electrical systems. This is a fully onsite role at a large‑scale manufacturing facility.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field (EE/EET or ME/MET preferred).
  • Previous work experience in the automotive field desired; experience with a Japanese company highly preferred.
  • Proficiency in problem solving and root‑cause analysis.
  • Strong understanding of measurement technologies such as SEM, FTIR, electrical test equipment, and metrology tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interdepartmental, team‑based, and occasional customer or vendor interactions.
  • Experience with presentation software (Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and analytical tools).
  • Availability to travel overseas for training beginning in fall 2026 and annually thereafter; travel to Japan may require a 2–4 month stay.
Responsibilities
  • Work within the analysis team to analyze automotive EV products (60%).
  • Prepare technical reports, presentations, and quality documentation (20%).
  • Review manufacturing processes for improvement related to analysis results (10%).
  • Perform other duties as assigned (10%).

Other Duties and Expectations
  • Not a supervisory role.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and environmental regulations.
  • Lead ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 compliance efforts.
  • Work environment: factory setting with noise, quiet indoor spaces, and occasional outdoor work.
  • Ability to work overtime and on short notice; primarily weekdays.
  • Should be able to sit, stand, walk, and bend throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to lift 35 lbs from floor to a height of 4 ft and move pallet jacks up to 450 lbs.
  • Require visual acuity for detailed work and extended microscope use.
  • Position is exempt under applicable wage‑and‑hour laws; may require work beyond 40 hours per week.
