Job summary

Zachry Group in Downers Grove, Illinois is seeking a Stress Engineer I to join our mechanical engineering team. You will support project objectives under the direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer and help specify equipment, review vendor documents, and perform preliminary calculations for process piping systems.

• Complete project-specific objectives under the direction of a Senior Mechanical Engineer.
• Specify, evaluate bids, and review vendor documents for process equipment such as pressure vessels, tanks, pumps, and heat exchangers.
• Perform calculations for equipment and piping.
• Specify materials for process and utility piping services.
• Attend Client, Vendor, and internal team project meetings.
• Perform field surveys to collect required field data and assist with interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications in the field.

Salary / Pay Rate

In accordance with Illinois Equal Pay Act, the expected salary range for this Illinois position, Stress Engineer I, is between $75,400.00 and $106,163.20 annually. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law.
