Environmental Conditions
Laboratory setting, some PPE (personal protective equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.), will work with hazardous/toxic materials.

Location/Division Specific Information
Become part of our team in Bedford, MA, within the Bioproduction (BPG) / Purification Process Analytics (PPA) division. Focused on ensuring flawless manufacturing and testing of chromatography media.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Address and report problems in daily manufacturing and propose effective countermeasures.
  • Complete projects as assigned, ensuring high-quality results.
  • Lead root cause investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions.
  • Revise SOPs to enhance processes and reduce deviations.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and drive results.
  • Execute manufacturing protocols accurately and with limited supervision.
  • Provide training and technical leadership within the area.
  • Perform duties within corporate EH&S standards and adhere to ISO13485 guidelines.
  • Interact effectively in cross-functional teams.
  • Use specialized equipment and instrumentation.
  • Complete all assigned tasks daily, with possible overtime.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or Science (preferably Chemical Engineering); high school diploma or equivalent required.
  • At least 1 year of experience in chemical, operations, manufacturing, or regulated environments.
  • Experience with SAP or similar inventory control systems preferred.

Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.
  • Ability to operate specialized manufacturing equipment.
  • Proven leadership and training capabilities.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Adherence to safety and regulatory standards.

Physical Requirements:

  • Lift and move up to 25 pounds.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with chemical exposure potential.
  • Stand for extended periods.
