Job summary

State of Hawai'i is seeking engineers at multiple levels to work on planning, design, construction and maintenance of public works projects. Positions cover entry to mid-level professional engineering tasks with opportunities for advancement based on qualifications and agency needs.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in engineering and relevant licensure or substitutions. Applicants may be placed on an eligible list for all levels they qualify for, with pre-employment checks as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States.
• Engineering experience: Level I none; Level II one year; Level III two years.
• Driver's license may be required.
• SIDA/TWIC security clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine professional engineering work according to instructions and established practices.
• Contribute to planning, design, construction, maintenance, operation and evaluation of engineering projects.
• Be placed on the eligible list for ALL levels for which qualified.
