Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
  • 3D CAD experience essential.
  • 0-5 years post-graduate engineering experience.
  • Siemens Teamcenter/NX experience preferred.
  • Welding or steel fabrication experience preferred.
  • Construction experience a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed and construction-ready 3D models for submarine construction using Siemens Teamcenter & NX.
  • Interpret build sequence and requirements with engineers, planners and operations.
  • Update and revise MAPs based on design changes and stakeholder feedback.
  • Maintain model accuracy, file organization, and documentation standards.
  • Support internal training and knowledge sharing on new tools, systems, and best practices.
  • Contribute to the development of standard processes and digital templates.
  • Capture lessons learned and integrate improvements into future product builds.

Overview

We are seeking a detailed-oriented person to join the Industrial Engineering Manufacturing Strategy Team supporting the operations team by developing detailed engineered build plans known as Manufacturing Assembly Plans (MAPs).

In the role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create and maintain complex, highly detailed MAPs that capture the system, detailed sequence, components and joints required for submarine fabrication and assembly.

Your work will directly support manufacturability, and construction sequencing within a highly technical and regulated environment. The MAP's will be used for everything from system integration and hull structure visualization to construction planning and documentation for production teams.

Job Duties & Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop detailed and construction-ready 3D models for submarine construction using industry-standard software (Siemens Teamcenter & NX)
  • Work closely with engineers, planners and operations to interpret build sequence and requirements
