Job summary

Fuscoe Engineering, Inc. in Irvine, CA is seeking an Engineer I or II to support land development projects. You will prepare engineering plans, perform design calculations, and ensure compliance with agency requirements.

We value an EIT credential, a bachelor’s in civil engineering, and CAD proficiency (AutoCAD, Civil 3D). 1–2 years of experience for Engineer I or 2–5 years for Engineer II will position you for growth in a 100% employee-owned firm.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required for entry level; 1–2 years design experience for Engineer I; 2–5 years design experience for Engineer II.
  • EIT certification required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Engineer I: Prepare engineering plans and production; assist with design tasks and calculations.
  • Engineer II: Coordinate with architect/agency/client for production and design; independently resolve design issues.

What You’ll Do as an Engineer I
  • Prepare engineering plans and production.
  • Perform design tasks, engineering calculations, solve design problems, and develop knowledge of general design standards and agency requirements for plan preparation.
As an Engineer II
  • Coordinate with architect/agency/client for production and design.
  • Able to independently make engineering judgment and solve design issues.
What We’re Looking For
  • A combination of a bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Civil Engineering or equivalent discipline from a four‑year college or university and civil engineering design experience of at least 1 to 2 years for an Engineer I, 2 to 5 years for an Engineer II.
  • EIT Certification required.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD. Civil 3D experience preferred.
  • A motivated, curious problem‑solver who works well independently and on a team.
