Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. in Queen Creek, AZ is seeking an Equipment Engineer I to support manufacturing efficiency from design to installation, commissioning and production.

You will manage equipment set-up schedules, contribute to preventive maintenance standards and work with engineers and technicians to resolve abnormalities by root-cause analysis and corrective action. This role collaborates with LGES partners and vendors, monitors OEE, and ensures 5S3R safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field is required.
• Minimum of 1 year in equipment engineering in a production/plant environment.
• PPE usage for up to 12 hours daily.
• PLC experience, Six Sigma, and DOE are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with LGES partners and equipment vendors.
• Equipment investment and schedule management.
• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Line of Balance (LOB) after improvements.
• Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment used in the winder, assembly, formation processes of battery manufacturing.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities.
• Manage plans for daily maintenance activities.
• Complete daily documentation and audits of equipment performance.
• Maintain cleanliness at worksite in accordance with 5S3R Standards.
• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Summary

The Equipment Engineer I will support overall efficiency and productivity of the manufacturing process by supporting related equipment from program and design to installation, commissioning and production. This role will manage equipment set-up schedules, contribute to preventive maintenance standards and work with other engineers and technicians to resolve abnormalities in equipment operation, including root cause analysis and identification, and corrective action implementation and validation.

Responsibilities

• Monitor Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and Line of Balance (LOB) after improvements are made.
• Install/modify/analyze/repair/test new tools/machines/equipment and technology utilized in the winder, assembly, formation processes of battery manufacturing.
• Collaborate with other teams to improve process quality and conduct equipment modification and improvement activities.
• Manage plans for daily maintenance activities.
• Complete daily documentation and audits of equipment performance.

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in engineering or related field required.
• PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) experience * Preferred but not required.
• Six Sigma certification * Preferred but not required.
• DOE (Design of experiments) * Preferred but not required.
• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours.
• Must be able to perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day.
