Job summary

LG Energy Solution Arizona, Inc. is seeking a Supervisor I, Equipment to lead a maintenance team ensuring safe, reliable operation of production equipment in Queen Creek, AZ.

The role drives preventive and corrective maintenance, supports continuous improvement, and partners with Production and Engineering to maximize uptime. You will mentor technicians, manage safety compliance, and develop a high-performing team culture across day and night shifts.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of maintenance or equipment technician experience.
• Prior leadership or coaching experience is desirable.
• High School Diploma required; advanced education preferred.
• Vocational certification (journeyperson) preferred, not required.
• PLC experience preferred, not required.
• Technical mechanical and electrical knowledge.
• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize PPE for up to 12 hours.
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of technicians to safely achieve daily PM/BM tasks on day and night shifts.
• Promote safety, housekeeping, punctuality, attendance, and performance standards.
• Administer timekeeping and payroll with accuracy.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance and troubleshooting with production.
• Prepare and manage preventive maintenance schedules.
• Document maintenance and troubleshooting records.
• Coordinate with outside vendors for complex issues.
• Mentor and train new maintenance technicians.
• Maintain 5S3R standards and a safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Summary:

The Supervisor I, Equipment is responsible for leading a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production equipment. This position oversees preventive and corrective maintenance activities, drives equipment reliability, supports continuous improvement initiatives, and partners with Production, Engineering, and other departments to maximize equipment uptime. The Supervisor I is responsible for employee development, performance management, safety compliance, and fostering a positive, high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities:

• Manage, coach, mentor, and support a team of technicians to safely achieve daily PM/BM (Preventive/Breakdown Maintenance) tasks on both day and night shifts while ensuring the highest quality team member experience
• Promote standards and reinforce expectations for safety, housekeeping, punctuality, attendance, work performance, conducting performance reviews, and administering disciplinary action where appropriate.
• Administer timekeeping and payroll responsibilities with zero-defect mindset.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance of production equipment and controls to ensure operating condition
• Communicate directly with production departments to coordinate preventive maintenance and any troubleshooting work in production
• Prepare and manage periodic preventive maintenance schedules
• Record/keep all documents related to preventive maintenance and troubleshooting work (including daily reports and check sheets)
• Coordinate with outside vendors/sources to schedule maintenance for any complex issues
• Mentor and train new maintenance technicians
• Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards

• Ensure work is completed in a safe manner and maintain a safe work environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• At least 7 years of prior experience as a maintenance or equipment technician, a plus
• Prior leadership or coaching experience, desirable
• High School Diploma/General Educational Development required, advanced education preferred
• Vocational certification (i.e., journeyperson) preferred, not required
• Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) experience preferred, not required
• Technical mechanical and electrical knowledge and experience
• Must be able to properly and regularly utilize the following Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for a period of up to 12 hours
• Safety glasses
• Must be able to do perform the following over the course of up to 12 hours per day
• Lift/push/pull up to 50 pounds
