Larson Engineering, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Engineer I - Civil to support the design and analysis of projects under supervision.

This role focuses on applying standard techniques, building foundational knowledge, and developing professional judgment as part of a collaborative, mission-driven team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, be in the FE process or have passed the exam, and demonstrate a willingness to learn and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam – or is in the process of obtaining.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Discipline).
• Ability to follow direction.
• Willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Performs defined portions of broader engineering assignments using established methods and guidance from experienced engineers.
• Performs standard computations and analysis.
• May participate in site visits or observe construction activities to support project understanding.
• Submits work to the Project Manager for QA/QC review and incorporates feedback as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Position Overview

The Engineer I - Civil is an entry-level position for professional engineering work, focused on developing foundational knowledge and skills. This individual performs assignments that apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria across a sequence of related tasks. They apply basic judgment in the application of established methods and in selecting among basic engineering alternatives, while building technical capability within the discipline.

The Engineer I - Civil reports to the Department Manager, and is expected to demonstrate an understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities and continues to grow in both knowledge and practical application.
