Job summary

Renewyx LLC in the Greater Los Angeles area is seeking an Engineer I to support design on utility-scale solar and battery storage projects, with hands-on drawing packages from day one.

You will work under senior engineers, perform quantity take-offs, redlines, RFIs, site audits, and gain NEC/CEC/IEEE knowledge; opportunity to contribute to generator and UPS layouts while developing core design skills.

Qualifications

• Degree in electrical engineering or related field, or equivalent hands-on training.
• Some electrical or renewable energy design experience, even from internship or co-op.
• Comfortable with MS Office and Bluebeam, with basic AutoCAD skills.
• EIT certification, or working toward one.
• Familiarity with Title-24.

Responsibilities

• Support bid-ready drawing packages across low, medium and high voltage work.
• Quantity take-offs, redlines, RFIs, and site audit documentation.
• Build NEC, CEC and IEEE knowledge under senior guidance.
• Exposure to generator and UPS layouts as you learn on the job.

Engineer I position open with a fast-growing electrical EPC contractor delivering utility-scale solar and battery storage projects.

Get hands‑on with real drawing packages from day one. Grounding systems, single line diagrams, voltage drop and cable sizing calcs, all on live utility‑scale solar and BESS projects, learning straight from senior engineers.

You’ll support the design team on bid‑ready drawing packages across low, medium and high voltage work. Expect quantity take‑offs, redlines, RFIs, and site audit documentation, plus exposure to generator and UPS layouts as you build your NEC, CEC and IEEE knowledge under senior guidance.

• A degree in electrical engineering or a related field, or equivalent hands‑on training
• Some electrical or renewable energy design experience, even from an internship or co‑op
• Comfortable in MS Office and Bluebeam, with basic AutoCAD skills
• EIT certification, or working toward one
• Familiarity with Title‑24
• On site in the Greater Los Angeles area, with occasional travel to project and client sites
• A genuine growth path, learning utility‑scale design directly from senior engineers
