Job summary

Matrix PDM Engineering is seeking an entry-level Engineer I to perform design and analysis work to support various projects.

As a multi-discipline firm, engineers may be considered for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrument and Controls roles; requires BS or MS in Engineering and little to no experience; role offers exposure to EPC energy and cryogenic liquids markets with tasks including data collection, drawings and basic computations.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering required.
• Entry-level position with no experience required.
• Basic and advanced knowledge in strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural engineering.
• Familiarity with MathCAD and AutoCAD preferred.
• Ability to follow directions and work with a team.

Responsibilities

The Engineer I is responsible for performing entry level design and analysis work as directed to support various projects.

As a multi discipline engineering firm, Matrix PDM Engineering will be considering Engineer I positions for Civil, Structural, Mechanical, Process, Electrical, Instrument and Controls Engineering roles. The Engineer I is an entry level position for graduates with a Bachelor of Science from a 4- year accredited Engineering program, and requires little or no work experience in the engineering field. The Engineer I will get exposure to various engineering roles in an EPC business in the Energy and Cryogenic Liquids markets and will perform design and analysis activities as directed by engineering staff.

Essential Functions

• Acquires limited knowledge and develops basic skills.

• Collects data and gathers information or documents.
• Performs standard computations or analysis.
• Prepares drawings and visual aids.
• Observes construction activities.

• Possesses basic oral and written communication skills.
• Interacts with other staff.
• Perform other related duties, as directed.

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Engineering required.
• Entry-level Engineer, no experience required.
• Basic knowledge of strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural engineering.
• Advanced knowledge of strength of materials, stress analysis, and structural engineering.
• Working knowledge of MathCAD and AutoCAD is preferred.
• Preferred knowledge of numerical methods of structural analysis.
• Cooperates with other team members; interacts with individuals at all organizational levels in professional manner.
• Exhibits excellent listening, oral and written skills.
• Demonstrates good organizational skills and ability to follow directions.Occasional overtime may be required.
