Respond to guest repair requests and communicate with guests to resolve maintenance issues. Perform preventive maintenance on tools and equipment, including cleaning and lubrication. Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines. Carry equipment such as tools and radios. Identify and operate all shut-off valves and utility shut-offs. Maintain inventory and requisition parts and supplies as needed. Communicate daily activities and issues to other shifts. Display knowledge or ability to acquire knowledge in areas like air conditioning, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, kitchen equipment, and energy conservation. Perform surface preparation, painting, drywall and wood repair, light bulb and filter replacement, and cleanup. Test and troubleshoot equipment, plumbing, electrical components, and guestroom items. Program TVs and manage inventory. Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before maintenance. Repair landscaping and external sprinklers. Use basic computer skills to input schedules and adjust temperatures.
Follow safety policies, report hazards, complete safety training, and store flammable materials properly. Maintain a professional appearance, protect company assets, and ensure confidentiality. Greet guests, address their needs, assist individuals with disabilities, and thank them. Adhere to quality standards. Develop positive relationships with colleagues, support team goals, and respond to concerns. Communicate professionally. Lift objects up to 50 pounds, climb stairs, and reach overhead or below the knees. Use computers for work-related information. Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or G.E.D. required. Some experience in maintenance, surface preparation, and painting preferred. Hotel maintenance experience is a plus. No supervisory experience needed.
Driver’s License required.
The pay rate is $25.98/hour with benefits including health care, flexible spending, 401(k), paid time off, life insurance, and disability coverage. Benefits are subject to eligibility and other conditions.
