Job summary

Windsor Hospitality is seeking an Engineer Groundskeeper to maintain Embassy Suites in Lompoc, CA. This role covers minor painting, plumbing, electrical tasks, HVAC filters, and routine upkeep to ensure guest comfort and safety.

Qualifications

• Perform maintenance tasks across painting, plumbing, electrical systems using hand tools.
• Follow safety and quality standards while servicing hotel facilities.
• Respond to guest requests and management notifications in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Maintains hotel by performing minor routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Replaces air conditioner filters.
• Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
• Executes assigned tasks/projects as instructed by management and completes them on time.
• Responds to work requests from guests or senior management within a given time and records actions taken.
• Wears uniform and name badge at all times on property.
• Supports the company values, mission, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy.
• Performs all other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

About this Location:

This position is located at the Embassy Suites in Lompoc, CA. Ideally situated within walking distance of Lompoc restaurants, Embassy Suites by Hilton Lompoc Central Coast offers guests a relaxing stay in a variety of comfortable room styles. The charming hotel is within three miles of Sta. Rita Hills Wine Center and the Wine Ghetto, and just a short drive to the Lompoc Flower Fields and Vandenberg Space Force Base.

Why do we need you?

To repair and maintain the physical structure of hotel using hand tools and power tools.

What you will do:

1. Maintains hotel by performing minor routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
2. Replaces air conditioner filters.
3. Notifies management concerning the need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
4. May tend furnace, air conditioner, and boiler to provide heat, cool air, and hot water for guests.
5. Execution of assigned tasks, projects, or programs, as instructed by the department’s management and ensure completion competently within a given time.
6. To ensure any work requests that may come from the hotel guests or senior management are responded to withing a given time. All such requests are to be recorded along with what action is taken.
7. Required to be always in uniform when working on the property, including wearing a name identification badge.
8. Supports and adheres to the core values, the mission statement, service fundamentals, and guest service philosophy as defined by the company.
9. All other duties as assigned by a manager or supervisor.

Schedule & Hours:

This position is full-time with a rotating Mon-Sun schedule. Ability to work any scheduled day of the week, including holidays, based on business needs is required.
