Job summary

Samsung Austin Semiconductor in Taylor, TX is seeking an experienced Engineer - Fab Planning to lead the planning and execution of equipment move-in and start-up for a new semiconductor fabrication facility.

The role focuses on macro-level planning, coordinating across departments, forecasting budgets, managing milestones and risks, and presenting timelines to customers in a fast-paced 24/7 manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• 4 Year degree in STEM.
• 6+ years in facilities or high-volume manufacturing.
• Experience with project management preferred.
• Industrial equipment hookup experience highly preferred.
• Factory start-up / retrofit experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills including presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Support expansion planning, including budgeting, installation and qualification of equipment.
• Coordinate, manage, and report on multiple assigned projects regarding work progress, project accounting, and forecasted schedule.
• Will ingness to work in a 24/7 high volume manufacturing environment.
• Solve problems: assess problem situations to identify causes, gather and process relevant information, generate possible solutions, and make recommendations and/ or resolve the problem.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
• Measure project performance, report and escalate to management as needed.
• Perform risk management to minimize project risks.
• Create and update project scope for complex individual projects.
• Setup timelines/schedules & present to the customer.
• Develops & maintains necessary records & files for efficient operation.
