The Engineer, Electrical Engineering uses engineering principles and design software, helps to design, develop and maintain electrical control systems and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.
Operates computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering tasks. Directs and coordinates engineering, manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and design requirements. Inspects completed installations and observes operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards. May be involved in developing budgets, estimating labor, material, and construction costs.
Requires a Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering and 0 to 2 years of experience. Performs work under direct supervision, handles basic issues and problems, and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff. Possesses beginning to working knowledge of subject matter.
Salary Range: $50,000annually.
This reflects the expected base pay for this position in Massachusetts and is based on internal equity and the established job family compensation structure. Actual compensation may vary based on experience, qualifications, and performance.
