HII Unmanned Systems is seeking an experienced professional to come join our electrical engineering group! We are looking for an individual to lead the development of advanced capabilities for integration into our autonomous systems. System and subsystem design space includes common platform engineering areas, including energy subsystems, navigation subsystems, propulsion subsystems, sensor subsystems, and control subsystems, as well as launch and recovery systems. As an electrical engineer you will be responsible for the participation in product life cycle analysis and the development and management of technical data packages on new and existing designs. Working in a cross functional design team, the candidate will be responsible for bringing electrical systems designs through first article release, test, integration, delivery to manufacturing, and manufacturing support and improvements. Responsibilities may include the following:
Researches, develops, designs, and tests electrical components, equipment, software systems, and networks. Designs electrical equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposes.
May require working in an office, industrial, shipboard, or laboratory environment. Capable of climbing ladders and tolerating confined spaces and extreme temperature variances.
