Job summary

JB&B is seeking an Entry-Level Electrical Engineer for our Boston office. You’ll work on a variety of electrical distribution projects, collaborate with senior engineers, and gain hands-on mentorship across multiple sectors.

The role combines design tasks with site visits, load calculations, and coordination of drawings, offering growth as you complete fit-out and base building projects in a hybrid work model.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required (by Summer 2026).
• 0-1 years of MEP design engineering experience.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Demonstrated success collaborating in a team environment.
• Basic understanding of design software tools, Revit and AutoCAD preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete tasks on fit-out, base building, and infrastructure upgrade projects.
• Assemble riser diagrams, schedules, and floor plans.
• Assist in planning and coordinating routing of major distribution systems, equipment rooms, closets, shafts, and risers.
• Review shop drawings and perform site visits and punch lists under senior supervision.
• Work on electrical distribution, circuiting, and calculations for electrical systems.
• Lay out switchgear, generators, and panels; perform basic load and voltage drop calculations using software.
• Conduct site surveys, punch lists, and design reviews.

About the Role

As an Electrical Engineer at JB&B, you’ll work on a wide range of projects-varying in size, complexity, and duration-across multiple sectors. You’ll collaborate with senior engineers and partners, gaining hands-on experience and mentorship while contributing to impactful client solutions.

$79,000-$82,000 annual salary
