As an Electric Substation Design Engineer, you will perform engineering assignments related to planning, scoping, design, and project construction management of Central Hudson’s electric substation projects. Your role includes carrying small and medium ESD projects from start to finish, managing cost estimates, work order authorization, DIG approval, equipment and site technical specifications, the bidding and selection process, equipment ordering, contractor selection, drawing markup and completion, wire‑checking, and transmittal to Substation Operations. On project completion, you will approve as‑built changes, file the project and instruction books, and perform all duties while ensuring safety for yourself, colleagues, and the public.
