Job summary

Eos Energy Enterprises is seeking an experienced electrical/mechatronic engineer to support automation across large-scale projects. You will troubleshoot PLC/HMI/SCADA systems, design diagrams in AutoCAD or SolidWorks, and drive documentation for technical manuals and specifications.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years on PLC/HMI/SCADA, robotic arm experience with PLC interfaces (Fanuc preferred), and strong knowledge of Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP and CIP Safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PLC and HMI or SCADA programming.
• Minimum 1 year of Robotic Arm programming interfacing with PLC; Fanuc preferred.
• Minimum 1 year with Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS485 and CIP Safety.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC troubleshooting.
• Comfortable troubleshooting 1000VDC electrical circuitry and components.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLC/HMI/SCADA, Fanuc Robot Arms, MES, Historian, SQL.
• Lean-Six-Sigma certification and knowledge of C++ is a plus.
• LOTO procedures and GAMP 5 guidelines.
• Strong understanding of NEC, IBC, NFPA.
• Strong MS Office documentation in URS/FRS/DDS/FAT processes.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot electrical, PLC/HMI/SCADA and networking issues when equipment is down.
• Self-manage multiple automation projects and report weekly status.
• Design, develop and maintain automation standards in SCADA/HMI/PLC.
• Create electrical/network diagrams in AutoCAD or SolidWorks; write technical docs.
• Research sensors, controls and testing equipment for projects and upgrades.
• Maintain and backup SQL and Historian databases weekly.
• Develop automation solutions across process areas (electrical and software).
• Troubleshoot live 1000VDC energy cube connections and components.
• Upgrade AC-DC inverters and/or DC power supplies for tests.
• Be available for night/weekend/holiday work aligned with downtime.

Responsibilities

• Effectively Troubleshoot Electrical, PLC/HMI and networking issues when equipment is down for production.
• Self-managing multiple medium-to-large scale automation projects simultaneously in a timely manner. Report status on weekly basis.
• Participate in designing, development and maintaining company automation standard in SCADA/HMI/PLC programming.
• Develop full scale electrical/networking diagram for large scale project in AutoCAD or SolidWorks. Develop technical documentation such as Technical User Manual and Detailed Designed Specification documents.
• Continuous research with automation vendor on sensors, controls and testing equipment for potential projects and upgrades on existing automation systems.
• Maintain, update and backup SQL and Historian database for Enterprise operation on weekly basis.
• Design, develop, test and maintain automation solutions in electrical and software across various process areas.
• Responsible in troubleshooting a live Energy Cube (1000 volt DC) electrical connection and components issues with multimeter.
• Troubleshoot and upgrade AC-DC Inverters and/or DC Power Supplies for Energy Cube Test.
• Be able to work on PLC/HMI/SCADA/Server/Electrical applications at anytime (Night, Weekend, or holiday) aligned with production downtime.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Excellent communication and technical documentation skills.
• Able to design, develop, test and maintain large scale automation solutions.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience with PLC and HMI or SCADA programming.
• Minimum 1 years of Robotic Arm programming experience interfacing with PLC, preferred Fanuc programming skills.
• Minimum 1 years of experience with Ethernet/IP, Modbus TCP, RS485 and CIP Safety protocols.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in hands-on 24VDC, 120VAC, 480VAC troubleshooting.
• Comfortable of troubleshooting 1000VDC electrical circuitry and components.
• Excellent Experience in Allen Bradley (Rockwell Automation) PLC/HMI/SCADA, Fanuc Robot Arms, MES, Historian Server and SQL Database solution experiences.
• Certificate in Lean-Six-Sigma and High level language programming experience such as C++ will be a plus.
• Proficient of LOTO procedure and GAMP 5 Guidelines.
• Good understanding in NEC, IBC and NFPA.
• Good communication and documentation skills with MS Office product in URS, FRS, DDS and FAT Process.
