This position works closely with TFS Station personnel, P&C, Engineering, Operations, Project Management, and contractors to support safe, reliable, and compliant operation of the transmission system. The role provides on site support of equipment installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, modernization, emergency restoration, and capital projects while serving as a technical resource for field personnel. .**Job Description*****\\*This vacancy is posted in a range. The minimum requirements below are for Engineer / Engineering Technologist Associate. Minimum requirements increase with each grade. The final grade and compensation offered will be determined based on the successful candidate's education, experience, and relevant skills.***Station Engineering & Technical Support:Provide technical support for transmission substation equipment and systems. Assist field personnel with troubleshooting, equipment failures, abnormal conditions, and condition assessments. Develop practical solutions considering safety, reliability, constructability, and maintainability. Support accurate station documentation, equipment configuration, and regulatory compliance. Projects & Commissioning:Participate in project scoping, design reviews, walkdowns, commissioning, and closeout. Coordinate with Engineering, Construction, P&C, Operations, contractors, and field personnel. Provide technical oversight and review applicable commissioning test results. Maintenance & Reliability:Support preventive and corrective maintenance programs. Evaluate equipment deficiencies and recurring reliability concerns. Support failure investigations, root-cause analysis, and corrective actions. Assist with maintenance and equipment replacement planning. Support outage and emergency restoration activities. Provide engineering support for mobile transformer and skid installations.Technical Expertise: Possesses entry-level knowledge and experience in the application of theory to solve well-defined problems or provide analysis, with guidance from higher-level engineers. Assists higher-level engineers in handling well-defined portions of more complex problems and analyses.Exhibits fundamental understanding of standards, codes and regulations relevant to the area of assignment.
