Job summary

Qualifications

  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering; Master’s degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of mechanical and thermal design and analysis, system and feedback controls performance, fluid dynamics, test engineering.
  • CAD knowledge and documentation of test systems.
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Willingness to travel approximately 5–10%.

Responsibilities

  • Develop test equipment based on customer requirements and support the thermal systems group.
  • Analyze test results to verify design meets performance requirements.
  • Perform system integration, design assurance testing and qualification testing.
  • Collaborate with customers and suppliers to resolve issues and present results to executives.
  • Provide feedback on potential cost or schedule impacts.
  • Support program risks and contribute to team problem solving.

Job description

Based in West Hartford, CT, Triumph Systems, Electronics and Controls is a leading independent aerospace system supplier for the commercial and military helicopter and business jet markets and employs approximately 500 employees. The Company’s key products and services include electronic engine controls, fuel metering units, main fuel pumps and environmental control systems for both the OE and aftermarket/spares end markets.

Responsibilities

Salary Range: $75,200.00 - $112,800.00 based on skills and experience

  • Develop test equipment based on requirements from our customers and the thermal systems engineering group to support testing of vapor cycle systems.
  • Perform test results analysis of vapor cycle systems to verify the proposed design meets product performance requirements.
  • Performing system integration, design assurance testing, and qualification testing.
  • Working directly with internal and external customers and suppliers to resolve technical issues, including presentations to company and customer executives throughout the product life cycle.
  • Providing specialized support in solving technical, programmatic, or team problems.
  • Provide feedback regarding impacts of possible cost and/ or schedule changes
Qualifications
  • BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Aerospace Engineering. Master’s Degree a plus.
  • 2+ years of experience in mechanical and thermal design and analysis, system and feedback controls performance, fluid dynamics, test engineering and a good knowledge of principles and practices of related specialties.
  • CAD knowledge and experience in documentation of test systems
  • Strong communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • Work and execute independently with minimal technical oversight and general direction.
  • Ability and willingness to travel approximately 5-10%.
