Job summary

Modern Football is seeking a seasoned engineering leader to define the vision and roadmap for our Knowledge & Context platform. You will architect scalable data ingestion pipelines from Gong, Slack, and internal systems, and design memory and orchestration infrastructure for multi-agent AI collaboration.

You will mentor an AI-native engineering team, drive technical decision-making across product and research, and translate complex architecture into actionable plans that accelerate real-time

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on.
• Strong platform engineering, distributed systems and scalable data pipelines.
• Hands-on experience with RAG systems at scale and LLM orchestration frameworks.
• Proven track record of taking AI products from prototype to production.
• Ability to translate complex technical architecture into clear execution plans.

Job Description:

Lead the vision, architecture, and roadmap for the company’s Knowledge & Context platform, building the systems that power intelligent, context-aware AI experiences. This role will drive the development of scalable data ingestion pipelines across sources like Gong, Slack, and internal systems, while designing the memory, state-awareness, and orchestration infrastructure that enables multi-agent AI collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own the architecture and roadmap of the Knowledge & Context platform
• Build scalable data ingestion pipelines (Gong, Slack, internal systems, etc.)
• Lead the development of our state-awareness and memory infrastructure
• Design orchestration and middleware for multi-agent collaboration
• Manage and mentor a high-performing, AI-native engineering team
• Serve as the technical authority in cross-functional decision-making.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience leading engineering teams while remaining hands-on technically
• Strong background in platform engineering, distributed systems, and scalable data pipelines
• Hands-on experience with RAG systems at scale and LLM orchestration frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, or similar technologies
• Proven track record of taking AI products from prototype to production
• Ability to translate complex technical architecture into clear, actionable execution plans

Preferred Qualifications:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
• Business-oriented mindset with strong cross-functional partnership experience, particularly with Product teams
• Experience operating in fast-moving, AI-native startup environments
• Familiarity with multi-agent systems, memory infrastructure, or context orchestration architectures
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence technical and non-technical stakeholders alike
