Job summary

ALTEN in San Diego is seeking a hardware/test engineer to support bring-up, verification, and validation of complex electronic systems. You will work on DDR interfaces, JEDEC specifications, and regression testing to ensure robust hardware performance.

The role emphasizes emulation build validation and the ability to read and analyze C code to understand flow and test iterations. On-site collaboration and hands-on debugging are required in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Applies Hardware knowledge to assist in planning, optimization, verification, and testing of electronic systems and related bring-up activities.
• Supports integration of features into hardware designs in line with proposals or roadmaps.
• Assists in simulations and analyses of designs and implements designs for power, performance, and area optimization.
• Collaborates with team to implement new requirements and integrate latest test solutions in production programs to improve yield, test time, and quality.
• Assists in evaluating and developing manufacturing solutions for leading-edge products to meet customer expectations and schedules.
• Assists in reliability evaluation for materials and techniques and brings innovation, automation, and optimization to maximize productivity.
• Assists in assessing common design features to identify potential flaws, compatibility issues, and compliance concerns.
• Writes technical documentation for hardware projects.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborates with team members to assist in the implementation of new requirements and incorporation of the latest test solutions in the production program to improve the yield, test time, and quality.
