Job summary

Staffing Spot, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Software Testing & QA Automation Engineer in Charlotte to design, develop, and execute automated and manual tests across web, mobile, and API applications.

You will support continuous quality improvement throughout the software development lifecycle. The ideal candidate has 7+ years of experience, strong STLC/SDLC knowledge, and hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver and modern automation tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software testing and QA automation.
• Strong understanding of STLC and SDLC.
• Experience with automation tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, Cypress, or Appium.
• Knowledge of programming languages such as Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#.
• Experience with API testing tools including Postman or REST Assured.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI.
• Knowledge of bug tracking and test management tools such as Jira, TestRail, or Azure DevOps.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and execute automated test scripts for web, mobile, and API applications.
• Perform manual functional, regression, integration, smoke, and user acceptance testing as needed.
• Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test data based on business and technical requirements.
• Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using defect management tools.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and business analysts to understand requirements and resolve quality issues.
• Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing.
• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or REST Assured.
• Execute performance, compatibility, and cross-browser testing where applicable.
• Analyze test results and prepare quality reports for stakeholders.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Continuously improve testing processes, automation frameworks, and quality standards.

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Software Testing & QA Automation Engineer to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of our software applications. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing automated and manual test cases, identifying defects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and contributing to continuous quality improvement throughout the software development lifecycle.

• ISTQB or equivalent QA certification is a plus.
