Job summary

Hyatt Hotels Corporation is seeking a Chief Engineer responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep of our hotel properties, overseeing all maintenance projects and ensuring preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately. Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of repair/maintenance experience preferred.
• Technical licenses such as HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing are helpful.

• Oversee maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately.
• Direct all maintenance staff and assign responsibilities when needed.
• Coordinate with General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure a smooth operation.
• Notify management concerning major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service per company policy.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned by the leader.

Job description

Compensation: Starting at $20.00 per hour

Summary

Responsibilities: In this role you will be responsible for the overall maintenance and upkeep for our hotel, oversee all maintenance projects and ensure preventative maintenance is completed timely and accurately. The Chief Engineer directs all other maintenance staff and assigns responsibilities when needed. This position works closely with the General Manager and Operations Manager to ensure a smooth operation.

• Maintain hotel, pool, and surrounding area, performing minor and routine painting, plumbing, electrical wiring, HVAC functions, and other related maintenance activities, using hand tools.
• Notify management concerning need for major repairs or additions to lighting, heating, and ventilating equipment.
• Respond to guest requests for service according to company policy. Keep records of rooms completed.
• Program phone equipment according to hotel needs.
• Observe equipment and utility meter readings on a daily basis.
• Stay accessible to Front Desk and Chief Engineer.
• Maintain files of Material Safety Data Sheets.
• Ensure par stocking of regularly used parts and supplies.
• Other duties as assigned by the leader

Education and Experience

• HS Diploma or equivalent
• 2+ years of previous repair/maintenance experience preferred

Licenses/Certifications

• Technical licenses such as: HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing etc. are helpful

Pay Rate: $20/hour
