Marquee Broadcasting West is seeking a seasoned Chief Engineer to lead all technical operations for KMVU/KFBI. You will direct engineering strategy, staff development, and regulatory compliance while maintaining broadcast and IT systems essential for daily operations.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive hands-on expertise in broadcast IT, and a commitment to FCC standards, with flexibility to work extended hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in broadcast electrical systems and equipment maintenance.
• Experience training and managing technicians with a constructive leadership style.
• Strong proficiency in evaluating, troubleshooting, installing, and maintaining broadcast and IT systems.
• Commitment to quality, time management, and FCC regulatory standards.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to work extended hours, weekends, and evenings.
• Ability to work on ladders, stand long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Technical degree in electronics or related field preferred (or equivalent work/education experience).

KMVU/KFBI is seeking an experienced Chief Engineer to lead all technical operations for our stations. This role oversees engineering strategy, staff development, regulatory compliance, and the maintenance of all broadcast and IT systems that keep our stations running smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Engineering leadership — Oversee all engineering functions across the stations
• Team management — Lead hiring, training, and development for Engineering and Master Control staff
• IT systems oversight — Manage maintenance of computer hardware, software, and local area network applications
• Software compliance — Ensure all software licenses are current and versions remain up to date
• Broadcast equipment maintenance — Supervise preventive maintenance and troubleshooting of cameras, audio/video systems, microwave transmitters/receivers, satellite receivers, and computing equipment
• Transmitter operations — Perform or supervise transmitter maintenance
