Job summary

Tandem Hospitality Group LLC in Longmont, CO is seeking an Engineer - Hotel Longmont for a part-time role. The engineer will support the Chief Engineer, perform routine maintenance, and ensure guest areas and facilities meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities include electrical and plumbing upkeep, preventative maintenance, and coordinating with Housekeeping to keep guest rooms functioning properly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 2 years of related experience preferred.
• Broad knowledge of electrical, hydraulic, and other building systems.
• General maintenance knowledge of tools, appliances, and devices.
• Strong problem-solving and communication abilities.
• Attention to detail and flexibility in scheduling including nights/weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report directly to Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor.
• Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure health and safety standards.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems.
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality.
• Perform manual repairs as needed (locks, windows, etc.).
• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program.
• Resolve maintenance problems, handle work orders, and respond to complaints.
• General upkeep as directed (landscaping, caulking, painting).
• Work with Housekeeping to ensure guest room equipment functions and preventative maintenance is in place.
• Adhere to company standards and policies.

Engineer - Hotel Longmont

Located: Longmont, CO 80501
Part-Time
Reports To: Chief Engineer
Salary: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The hotel Engineer has the responsibility of working with the Chief to preserve the building's overall operational condition and functionality. This role requires a thorough professional with a practical approach and attention to detail that can work both autonomously and responsibly, while maintaining the building and common areas in the best possible condition and observing all health and safety guidelines.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Report directly to Chief Engineer/Maintenance Supervisor
• Survey building and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
• Perform maintenance of all electrical systems
• Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
• Perform manual repairs when necessary (repair/replace door locks, replace window fixtures/windows, etc.)
• Conduct ongoing room preventative maintenance program.
• Resolving maintenance problems, complaints, and work orders.
• General upkeep as directed (i.e. landscaping, caulking, painting, etc.)
• Working knowledge of carpentry and painting as well as drywall and carpet repair work
• Inspecting property to identify potential and current needs.
• Perform other tasks as assigned by Chief Engineer or Maintenance Supervisor
• Work with Housekeeping to ensure all equipment within the guest rooms are functioning properly and are a part of an effective preventative maintenance program.
• Adheres to all company Standard/Conduct policies and procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• High school diploma or equivalent plus two (2) years of related experience or
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the above skills, knowledge, and abilities
• Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic, and other systems
• General knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
• Working knowledge of tools, common appliances, and devices
• Good problem-solving skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Significant attention to detail
• Flexible schedule, including but not limited to the ability to work nights, weekends and holidays.
