Job summary

KellyMitchell Group seeks a full stack Engineer for a major U.S. airline project in Fort Worth, TX. Hybrid work 3 days onsite; you will develop Java backend services and Angular front ends for contact center tools, while maintaining GitHub Actions pipelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related field.

Job Summary

Our client, a major U.S. airline, is looking for a full stack Engineer to join their Contact Center Technology team. It's a contract through the end of the year with an expected extension into next year, hybrid in Fort Worth, TX, onsite 3 days a week. This person will build and support the Java and Angular applications that the company's customer service and reservations agents use. They'll write, test, and ship code on both the backend and front end, maintain CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions, troubleshoot production issues, lead root cause analysis, and help coach junior engineers. We're looking for someone who is actively coding in both Java and Angular today and has hands‑on experience building or maintaining GitHub Actions workflows, which is the key differentiator for this role. Experience limited to backend-only or front end-only work, or CI/CD experience limited to Jenkins or pipelines owned by a separate DevOps team, is not a fit. This position is W-2 only. We do not work with third‑party firms or C2C arrangements for this role.

Core Responsibilities

• Build and enhance Java backend services for contact center applications

Required Skills/Experience (Must-Haves)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience designing, developing, and implementing large-scale solutions in production environments
• Hands‑on, current experience developing in Java
• Hands‑on, current experience developing in Angular (modern Angular, 2+)
• Experience building features end to end across both backend and front end
• Hands‑on experience building or maintaining GitHub Actions workflows
• Experience troubleshooting and supporting applications in production
• Located in the Dallas‑Fort Worth area or willing to relocate

Preferred Skills/Experience (Nice-to-Haves)

• Master's degree in a technical field
• AI knowledge, such as using AI coding tools or integrating LLMs into applications
• Airline or travel industry experience
• Spring Boot or microservices experience
• TypeScript and RxJS
• AWS or Azure cloud experience
• Experience with contact center platforms such as Genesys, Amazon Connect, or Avaya
• Experience mentoring junior engineers or acting as a tech lead

Work Environment

Compensation & Benefits

Pay Range: The approximate pay range for this position is between $29.00 and $42.00 per hour. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to background, knowledge, skills, and location. We comply with local wage minimums.
