Job summary

Seven Mountains Media in the United States is seeking an experienced Broadcast Engineer to install, configure, and maintain broadcast systems across multiple markets. You will support live broadcasts, ensure FCC compliance, and collaborate with programming and production teams to meet technical needs.

The role requires leadership in project delivery and hands-on maintenance of transmitters, audio processing, and IT integration.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of engineering experience.
• Leadership proven with successful projects.
• Experience with broadcast IT is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain broadcast systems and equipment (transmitters, receivers, audio processing).
• Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure reliability.
• Monitor signal quality and FCC compliance across stations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues promptly.
• Plan and execute system upgrades and new studio installations.
• Coordinate with vendors for equipment purchases and installs.
• Lead projects within budget and on schedule.
• Train staff on equipment and software usage.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain broadcast systems and equipment, such as transmitters, receivers, and audio processing tools.
• Perform routine inspections and repairs to ensure optimal functionality.
• Monitor and analyze audio and signal quality to ensure compliance with FCC regulations and station standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve signal issues promptly.
• Plan and execute system upgrades to incorporate new technology and improve station capabilities.
• Integrate software and hardware components into existing systems.
• Provide on-call technical support during live broadcasts or emergencies.
• Assist production teams with technical requirements for shows and events.
• Maintain a list of equipment in use and available for deployment anywhere in the company if needed.
• Ensure compliance with federal and local broadcasting regulations.
• Work closely with programming and production teams to address their technical needs.
• Coordinate with external vendors for equipment purchases and installations.
• Lead or participate in projects such as new studio builds or transmission site installations.
• Ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
• Enforce safety standards and protocols in the workplace.
• Train staff on the use of technical equipment and software.

Please note, tasks will be performed within our New York/ Pennsylvania markets including Elmira, Olean, State College, Mansfield, Lebanon, Selinsgrove and Lewistown with a home base location.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 3 years Engineer experience.
• Broadcasting and Radio IT/Engineer is not required but definitely a plus to secure this position.
• A proven track record of leadership and driving success.
