Job summary

Raft is seeking a Software Reliability Engineer to analyze test results, coordinate with development teams for bug fixes, and develop automated test scenarios for performance testing. The role emphasizes hands-on creation and maintenance of automated tests to ensure robust software delivery.

Requirements include 3+ years with Java, React, Angular, Python, and related tooling; experience with web services, OAuth/OAuth2, and XML/JSON validation.

Qualifications

• Experience using GET/PUT/POST/DELETE and validating XML/JSON payloads
• Familiar with OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms
• Experience with load and security testing of web services
• Experience designing and developing test automation scripts
• Familiar with test automation guidelines
• Willing to obtain SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications within a year

About the role

As a Software Reliability Engineer you will analyze test results and coordinate with the development teams for bug fixes. Analyze the underlying causes of performance issues and provide corrective action. Develop an automated test scenario and environment for performance testing. Review and recommend improvements in existing test procedures. Coordinate with the testing team to develop performance test plans and cases. Research issues in software through testing to validate feedback, response time, & error code. Design and develop test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases.

What we are looking for

• 3 + years of experience with some of the following: Java, React, Angular, Gitlab, RHEL, JIRA, Confluence, Zephyr & Python
• Must be able to use all web methods like GET, PUT, POST, DELETE etc.
• Must be able to validate xml and json body using json parser.
• Know how to use the OAuth and OAuth2 authentication mechanisms.
• Experience Loading and Security testing on web services.
• Experience designing and developing test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases.
• Familiar with test automation guidelines.
• Strong experience designing and developing test automation scripts to create, enhance, debug, and run test cases.
• Willing and able to obtain SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications within a year of starting.

Highly preferred

• SAFe for Teams, ISTQB Test Automation Engineer, Agile Technical Tester, & Implementing Test Process Improvement certifications
• Good problem-solving abilities and analytical skills
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to changing business requirements

Clearance Requirements

• Active Secret Security Clearance

Work Type

• May require up to 10% travel

Salary Range: $80,000-$110,000

• The determination of compensation is predicated upon a candidate's comprehensive experience, demonstrated skill, and proven abilities
