Job summary

RFA Engineering is seeking an experienced Mechanical Validation Engineer to plan, coordinate, and execute engine validation and structural dynamics testing. You will work with design, simulation, instrumentation, and validation teams to ensure product quality and reliability.

The role requires a mechanical engineering degree and 2+ years of relevant experience; Master’s with more experience may be considered. Salary range is $70,000–$85,000, with competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
• 2+ years engineering or testing experience; Master’s with 3+ years considered.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and manage engine validation and structural dynamics testing activities.
• Develop instrumentation plans with strain gauges, thermocouples, accelerometers, torque devices, and data acquisition equipment.
• Create gauge maps and determine instrumentation requirements based on test objectives.
• Conduct vibration, modal, torsional, and durability testing of engine components and systems.
• Use data acquisition systems to collect, process, and evaluate test data.
• Analyze test results and communicate conclusions to engineering stakeholders.
• Collaborate with design and simulation engineers to validate analytical models.
• Support troubleshooting of field and lab issues.
• Prepare technical reports detailing procedures, results, and conclusions.
• Manage multiple validation projects and schedules.
